-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Asian School of Knowledge has launched a new conference titled "Asian International Conference on Design Research" first of which will be held in Sri Lanka from 22-23 August in Colombo. The theme is 'Understanding the Nexus between Design and Research," with sub themes "reserach for design," 'research about design," and "reserach by design." This is a ground breaking new area of research, although most of you are already involved in doing them without being fully aware of how they produce new Knowledge. Some of the activities you are engaged in the design studios can thus be transferred into reserach papers, presented and published, as new knowledge.
